Its blog day!

Hello fellow bloggers,

So its blog day and well this week has been full of hard decisions and complicated days.
So anyone who is a mum and has worked knows that it is hard every day to leave your little bundle of joy, and for me well it was getting even harder every day and Scarlet was getting more anxious with the people who was looking after her, so after what felt like a million pros and cons lists and financial list i came to the conclusion that i wasn't financially better off  and loosing more for something that wasn't really worth it. So I ave decided to stay home until scarlet is in school like I originally planned.

I also FINALLY went to the doctors to get some tablets for my depression and I have to say im glad that i took the plunge and went, I really am sick of this illness having a grip on me and i have to get a hold of it, I am going to see about counselling too because ive never tried it and i dont know if it can work for me, i never want to go to friends or family about my problems or worries because i feel that they have bigger problems then me and mine are insignificant.

Ok so crafty wise... Today I have done 4 projects yes that 4. I have completed a altered bottle for a swap that i am doing over at UKIrelandcraftswap facebook group, I have also done a shabby chic wall hanging again over at UKIrelandcraftswap facebook group and also I have done an altered canvas for Charlene who i did a personal goodies swap with and we decided to send the goodies first and then send a couple of homemade goodies in a seprate parcel :). And last but not least I have begun a Christmas mini that im not sure if i am going to put in a secret santa swap im doing or keep it for me and do something else for the SS swap. I have been on a role and have felt soooooo relaxed thanks to it and i cant wait to keep it going.

I think that is my week lol

Happy crafting and have a great week everybody :D

My Week!!!

Heya guys,

Well my first week at my new job was interesting, the first 2 days I was late because of traffic and me not knowing which way was best to go and it just got me in a massive stress and i really thought i was going to get sacked when i turned up on Wednesday luckly i didnt.

It was a great week though i have learned alot and improved alot of my skills which i am hoping that will give me the skills that i need to be able to try and get my foot in the door to be a personal assistant. my neighbours boss is sacking her PA so i did give my CV to give to her boss, so keep you fingers crossed for me guys :D

Crafty side of things, I won a unit of Ebay that I am using as my craft workstation/space and it is so perfect for me and out of what storage things i have its all organised but obviously will be better when I get more storage :D

not much else has gone on this week so i will say that is it and i will see you next week :D

Have a great week guys!!!

WOW... its been a long time!!!

Hey everyone,

Wow!! Its been a very long time since I have blogged, so lets begin!

Okay I started a new job in the last 2 weeks of June and it was shift work at an insurance call centre and it was going really well but my gorgeous little girl wasnt coping with me finishing at 7pm and not getting home until 8pm, so i started looking for a new job and was job hunted for a job with a construction company and the job title is Scheduler and i am the only one they have taken on which scares me cause ive only ever done call centre jobs where you start with a massive bunch of people :). I am really excited about starting on Monday and its set hours of 8-5 no weekends and it will just fit in perfectly with scarlet and my crafting. so i am so excited.

Crafty wise: I won a workstation (computer workstation) on ebay today which was £20 which was a bargin!! So i am beginning to feel more of a serious crafter not just crafting on the dining table. I can finally begin to organise and start getting things in order, I also went to the annual crafty weekend with the girls from UKIrelandcraftswap group on facebook, it was so much fun, the girls were hilarious and i was so inspired and come home and did the pages and covers for 2 mini albums and just need to put everything together and they are done :).... I am also beginning to think about starting Jewellery making so if anyone has any ideas or great blogs or facebook please please let me know.

Oh also i got a really bad new obsession of FILOFAXES!!!! :D i have 2 now, a Identity personal one and a vintage jack personal i am starting Flylady and the filofax which is hard to start and get my head around but thats only because i am not used to being super organised, so really trying to sort it all out :). Any ideas on organising please please leave a comment :).

I dont think there is anything else to tell you guys really i will try and get a weekly blog post up now i have set times and able to manage my time properly.

My Criss cross card and altered jar for swaps on Ukirelandcraftswap facebook group

Hey Guys

This month I have taken part in a couple of swaps on the UK-Irelandcraftswap facebook group.

I did a Criss cross card and my partner for that was Valerie Wilson unfortantly she doesnt have a blog or youtube that ive been able to find, but she is such a talented lady. When I recieved her criss cross card i was in ore of her talent it was so elegant and beautiful I fell in love with it so much. She also included some beautiful lace and gorgeous charms that are soo gorgeous I kinda want to hoard them. hehe. the criss cross card i made her, I went for a soft look, more elegant side i think i achieved it, i really did enjoy making it although it took me a few goes doing it, i think my measurements were wrong or something i dont know haha but i did love the end result.

I will include both photos at the end.

I also did an Altered jar and my partner for that was Roberta Slavin. I did this with a go with the flow kinda attitude and i think it turned out well, the process i did this with is i washed out the jar and then gesso'd the whole jar including the lid and once it was dried and i did a couple of coats i then painted it in a pearl pink acrylic paint by docrafts artiste paint range. I then wrapped the lid and the bottom in a gorgeous pink lace and i tore up some rose paper and adheared it in a random form i then did a line of WOC blue roses down one side of the jar, i then cover the top of the lid in a WOC flower embellishment. I really enjoyed doing the jar it was so much fun although it took a while with letting the paints dry i still love every minute of it. I am soo excited to recieve my jar from Roberta too. We was in a swap for a jumbo tag too and her tag was absolutely gorgeous again i was in so much ore of her talent.

All the ladies in the facebook group are so so talented i just hope that one day i will get to that standard too :)

The top criss cross card is mine, the second photo is my altered jar and the third is the very talented Valerie Wilson's criss cross card :)

Happy Saturday everyone

The requirements for this tag was no smaller then 10" x 4" i think i made mine 11"x 4" if i remember correctly  (sent to my partner haha so cant check) This was the first time i have ever done a tag and i really really enjoyed it we also had to include butterflies, lace and flowers and it was just such a relaxing project to do cause it was so big it was just no worries with it. :)

Hope you all like it and enjoy :)

Homemade mini shadow box

Hey everyone,

Ive been wanting to do a shadow box for ages and ages, but i dont have any trinkets or charms thatr can go into a big one yet, so i thought i would have ago at making a mini one.

I made it from 6 insides of a small match boxes that i got in a bundle from local supermarket,
all i did was hot glue them together and then used some cardboard to cover the back and sides so i had a smooth surface, i then painted it all in black, and got to work with the embellishing... All of the embellishments are from Wild Orchid Crafts, apart from the heart that i cut out of a piece of patterned paper. Overall it took me about an hour to do but i had so much fun doing it and its something you can hang somewhere without having to worry where it will go like with a big one.

Hope you all enjoy my lil creation, i havent ever seen a mini one before so pretty proud actually :)

Update....

Well the last month has been absolutely crazy.

So heres the update I have now moved to my (soon to be) gorgeous home in Bream in the Forest of Dean, im still not completely unpacked still got things that need to go up in the attic and i had no drawers or anything in my old house as had fitted wardrobes, so i have been putting them together and got to unpack mine and my daughters clothes. Then its onto the decorating and getting the house to be me :D...

I have set up my very first crafting space that is dedicated only to crafting :D so very please and excited about that :)...

I am about to undertake a few challenges over the next couple months on CFG on the facebook page and I think its on the blog page too.

My Matchbox and Tussie Mussie

Hey guys,

I created these matchbox and Tussie mussie for a challenge on Crafty Fairy Godmothers blog and facebook page. I really liked creating these and although there is some mistakes on the matchbox I learned alot from doing it and it was my first time using flowers and using my glue gun :) which has quickly become my fave tool :).

I made the Tussie mussie with a piece of 12 x 12 paper from K and Company, after i finally got the hang of the way to curl it I really liked decorating it. The flowers i used on it was from The Range and was only £1 but they was really good quality considering they was cheap :)

Once I was in the zone to craft these projects didnt take very long to complete but I learned alot from creating them and was really glad I decided to make them and take part in the challenge although after seeing other peoples I know I have a long way to go to get to the standards of my fellow crafters :)

I hope you all enjoy these.

Heya

Well hello fellow bloggers,

This is my first blog and I thought I would do a little introduction and let you get to know me a little better, I am a single mum to a gorgeous girl called Scarlet Lucia, she is my absolute world. I will be moving to Bream on the 6th April.

I started crafting after my doctor diagnosed me with depression and suggested I find something to keep me calm and relax me on my tough days. So I searched YouTube and found papercraft (Mini albums and cards) and as ive explored more and more I found more that I have tried and also lots of things I cant wait to try :).

I am a Pisces and am 22 years old, i also like going to the gym and my next project will be making my new house my home :)

I hope as I get a more experienced blogger, you will enjoy getting to know me and seeing my projects and anything else I come up with :)

Thank you for reading :D
