Hey Guys
This month I have taken part in a couple of swaps on the UK-Irelandcraftswap facebook group.
I did a Criss cross card and my partner for that was Valerie Wilson unfortantly she doesnt have a blog or youtube that ive been able to find, but she is such a talented lady. When I recieved her criss cross card i was in ore of her talent it was so elegant and beautiful I fell in love with it so much. She also included some beautiful lace and gorgeous charms that are soo gorgeous I kinda want to hoard them. hehe. the criss cross card i made her, I went for a soft look, more elegant side i think i achieved it, i really did enjoy making it although it took me a few goes doing it, i think my measurements were wrong or something i dont know haha but i did love the end result.
I will include both photos at the end.
I also did an Altered jar and my partner for that was Roberta Slavin. I did this with a go with the flow kinda attitude and i think it turned out well, the process i did this with is i washed out the jar and then gesso'd the whole jar including the lid and once it was dried and i did a couple of coats i then painted it in a pearl pink acrylic paint by docrafts artiste paint range. I then wrapped the lid and the bottom in a gorgeous pink lace and i tore up some rose paper and adheared it in a random form i then did a line of WOC blue roses down one side of the jar, i then cover the top of the lid in a WOC flower embellishment. I really enjoyed doing the jar it was so much fun although it took a while with letting the paints dry i still love every minute of it. I am soo excited to recieve my jar from Roberta too. We was in a swap for a jumbo tag too and her tag was absolutely gorgeous again i was in so much ore of her talent.
All the ladies in the facebook group are so so talented i just hope that one day i will get to that standard too :)
The top criss cross card is mine, the second photo is my altered jar and the third is the very talented Valerie Wilson's criss cross card :)
Happy Saturday everyone
xoxo
